The Internet has quickly become an integral part of our lives. More than simply a fifth medium, it is creating a new world all its own. Today, the barriers against information transmission are extremely low, and almost anyone can transmit information free of charge using blogs or SNS, contribute animation to the media or review products by various means. In short, “media” has come to refer to virtually every type of information transmission.

At the same time, conventional media are now entering new business fields that make use of interactive technologies, and we are observing dramatic mergers and restructurings on the media scene, as media of all kinds take on an interactive character.

Not only is the media scene changing extremely rapidly, however, but the forms of communication are changing quickly as well. Advertising agencies are being asked to provide new types of planning capabilities as a result.

Tokyu Agency is at the forefront of these changes in interactive media. We make use of consumer insights from our Center for Kaiba ISC* Studies in conjunction with our expertise concerning mass media and OOH media and our connections with other members of the Tokyu Group to develop new types of communication design that create linkage between consumers and product and service providers.
